We calculate the state of health (SoH) of a vehicle’s battery and provide this information through our state of health endpoint. More details about the calculation and its prerequisites can be found there.
This endpoint is currently available only for selected OEMs (see list below). We are continually expanding this list. Specific requirements may apply for each OEM to access this endpoint, which are further discussed in this documentation.

Requirements to enable a Tesla vehicle
To enable the state of health calculations for Tesla vehicles, the following requirements must be met:
- A minimum software version of
2023.20.6 or later on the vehicle;
- The account used to link the vehicle to our platform must have OWNER access (driver-level access is insufficient as per OEM requirements);
- A “phone key” must be set up for the vehicle. Detailed instructions for setting up a phone key are available in the owner’s manual.
- The Voltera’s “virtual key” (also referred to as “fleet key”) must be paired with the vehicle. This can be done by accessing this link from the smartphone configured as the “phone key”.
